Every spring and summer we host residencies, providing artists the opportunity to develop a project at our unique heritage site.

Our residents, many of them artist-duos and collaborators, live and work in the house for one month at a time.

Every residency explores themes relevant to the house or our wider network, from materials and memory to coming-of-age, migration and mental health. Most residencies culminate in a public event and a community workshop. Some of our residents also create small temporary interventions, known as ‘traces’, for the house, which the public can view during our guided house tours at the end of each month.

We often work with international funders, offering artists from around the world the opportunity to spend a life-changing month in London. Most artists come to us through a nomination process.
